https://lawtimesjournal.in/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/images-3.jpg1200675A court in Mumbai on Saturday denied the Enforcement Directorate (ED) request to extend the pre-trial detention of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in connection with the money laundering case against him. Deshmukh, on the other hand, was placed in preventive detention for 14 days by the additional trial judge. Deshmukh appeared before officers at the emergency room on Monday, November 1st. After about 12 hours of questioning, Deshmukh was arrested after midnight on Tuesday. The Mumbai court allowed the ED’s custody to Deshmukh till today.
